L: Had this on-tap at Fishin' Pig, poured into a pint glass. Had a dark, mahogany brown color and a thick texture. There was a small amount of off white, foamy head that lasted an average amount of time. Pretty good lacing.

S: A good aroma of malt, toffee, chocolate, and hops.

T: Tasted of a lot of roasted malt (present throughout), light hops (mostly in the finish), a nice helping of toffee and caramel, light chocolate notes, and a tinge of smokiness. This is a direct, easy to drink flavor. It's complexity sneaks up on you, with the chocolate and caramel creeping in. Pretty tasty.

F: A decent amount of carbonation with a somewhat dry finish. Medium-bodied.

O: This style of beer isn't one I typically gravitate towards, but this is a solid example of it. Drinkable.

Looks and smells awesome. A tad thin, but it grew on me. But love the toffee, smokey, tar smells. Not bad.

Have to admit I was pumped to see this style of beer as it's rare to find (outside England/UK) and for a local microbrewery to make one is the cherry on the top.
Poured a blackish body with roasted malt/barley aroma with hints of hoppiness.
A good, dry, roasted malt feel that is not rough/stoutish at all but easy to drink as this beer is smooth and light.
Hints of chocolaty sweetness and a minor hop crispness balance out this dry ale that lives up to the style "mild".
Well balanced, easy drinker that is a must try.
