Cloudy brownish-orange with minimal head and lace.
A sour and smokey aroma is best I can describe - at worst I can say it was one of the most offputting aromas (beer wise) that I have smelled in a long time.
There is this smokey edge to the beer that gives it its muscle and dryness but also pretty mucy overpowers everything else.
Unlike a german rauchbier, though, the smoke doesn't add a meaty taste nor are the hops or malts in balance with the smoke.
Basically, a sour, watery apricot taste is noticeable at times and this beer is also a little funky and sharp which I guess is the wheat/yeast trying to make itself known.
One of those beers that sounds good on paper but isn't good at all in glass.
