Poured a black body with almost no head and no lace.
Roasted coffee malt is dominant smell in a mostly dry malt aroma, although there are hints of sweet malts in the nose.
Taste is a little more complex than aroma as this smooth, somewhat creamy beer (and simplistic which is only criticism), is coffee/roast malt dominant but retains enough balance to give off some sticky sweetness (more of a vanilla or java like sweetness than chocolate, toffee or dark fruits like figs),
I liked this beer and would recommend it to any stout lover, but will forewarn said person that this beer is not going to give a complex array of flavors and will not satisfy any sweet teeth.
