$5.50 / Pint

Notes: Belgian Dubbel, 6.8% ABV, 22 IBUs. Deep copper in color beneath a bright white head that holds well and leaves some creamy lace behind as it drops. Effervescent bubbles can be seen racing upwards, helping to buoy the head. The aroma delivers light phenols of clove and plastic, and dark-skinned fruits over a sweetish malt base. The flavor follows with some candyish malt and a moderate bitterness and yeasty peppery note that leads to a semi-dry finish. The fruitiness includes raisins and plum. It's medium-light in body with a zesty, effervescent carbonation. Nicely done. A little sweetish but not out of style.

Poured a dark brown body with minimal head and lace. Aroma has mild notes of both dark fruits and a little bit of yeast. Smooth, lighter beer for this style that has a black licorice/anise like sharp sweetness along with dark fruits such as plums and raisins for flavor profile. Balanced well and is a nice sweet ale to sip on (that's sweet as in sweet tasting, not sweet as in "SWEEEETTTT DUDE!")
