Clear, golden color. Big, fluffy head. Grass, minerals, and malt in the aroma.Malty backbone with decent hoppy bitterness for balance. Good quality pilsner.

16 oz. can. Pretty cloudy for a Pilsner. Nose is mostly hops. Mint and herbs quickly give way to spicier and more earthy tones. Tastes much more of the foeder here. Woody with some dried grass flavors. Faint tang with some toasted cereal malts. Finishes with lots of spicy hop bitterness. Medium body, very flavorful. Aggressive foeder influences, which I like. If you have a more puritanical definition of a Pilsner, this may not be for you.

Pours a hazed mix of sunset orange / straw color with a finger-and-a-half of off-white foam head. Good retention and thick lacing.

Nice, mostly crisp aroma with hints of mint and cakey malt beneath.

The taste hits as bitter at first, but without any lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. It’s replaced by a dull, tea-like earthiness. A touch of the cakeiness and sulfur show mid-palate as well.

Medium bodied with appropriate carbonation.

A well made pilsner, if maybe a bit earthier than my personal preference.

Canned 5/18/21. A bit old but whatever

Here’s my very late entry for what is supposedly “National Lager Day” which I did not learn about until today. So an oak aged Pilsner huh? I’ve seen a few oaked lagers throughout the years but they’re not all that common. It’s always cool to see how the wood plays off the simplicities of the style. Let’s dig in

Pours a cloudy yellow gold with 3 fingers of rocky white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing

This is still super vibrant in the nose despite the age. I'm picking up on aromas of peppery noble hops, pale malt, cereal grain, lemon rind, grassy hops, and light cracker. No real wood to be found here

It's much more clear that this was oak aged in taste, though it really serves to round it out and add a subtle taste. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting orange rind, peppery hops, bready malt, toasted oak, and lightly tart lemon . The swallow brings notes of toasted oak, lemon rind, floral hops, bready malt, white pepper, and honey

A light body pairs with moderately high carbonation, resulting in a crisp and super thirst quenching beer. Finishes dry and snappy

A damn solid German Pilsner. In your face, but subtly complex at the same time. I'll have to get this one again

Pour is unfiltered and golden with half a finger of head and good retained lacing. Pomelo pith, faint lemon, and mild floral notes on the nose. Bright citrus zest, yeast, crusty bread on the palate, with little hop character but pithy bitterness. Lightly oaked from the foudre.

Pours a bright yellow with a dash of brown haze. This has a lemony, zesty quality that is fun. the brighter lemon and cantaloupe flavors jump out to me more than the malt backbone, which plays second fiddle. Those bright flavors go well with the bright noble hop notes. The mouthfeel is really soft but with medium-high carbonation. The finish is really quick. Tasty!
