Food For Thought could be a rye beer if it was made from excess rye bread. But I doubt it.
Threes Brewing calls it "A Blended Saison With Recovered Bread" and that is suitable in the Description.
(It also could be a Kvass; but with a saison yeast... let's not go there.)
You have to like tart to really like this ale. (And I have a low tolerance for tart.) Nonetheless, I won't give a low rating based on personal preference to what is otherwise a well-made brew. While its tart is woody and too dry for food, Threes Brewing clearly was intentional here. They are thoughtful also. Even noble. They made this brew to help promote a local food bank that saves food from being wasted.
Bought along with another saison from Threes Brewing's outlet at Moynihan Train Station that improves Penn at least for Amtrak and LIRR, I wish Threes Brewing well and would like to try more... when I next come to NYC.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
