Last year we released our Wine Source Weller Single Barrel Special Reserve 90. The exclusive Barrel that we received (#334) was filled on October 12th , 2011, and the whiskey was bottled on April 10th, 2018. When we received the barrel, we decided to partner with our friends at Monument City to age some beer. The barrel was filled with Woodstove stout last winter and has been aging all year.

Unretired and I’m not sure if it’s the same process as the 2018 batch but this 2021 batch is thick and mealy. Awesome stout, well done, flew off the shelves, wish I got more.

Draught 330ml (12oz) at Wet City in Baltimore. Lovely dark pour with a pleasant nose. NOT noting the typical rye spiciness, but a solid stout with a well above average feel in which the acholol is well hidden.
