Clean, crisp, and classic in nature, this lager is malty and filled with notes of biscuit and toffee.

12 ounce can poured into a dimpled mug.

L: Clear root beer brown, 2 finger khaki head, good retention, no lace.
S: Nose opens with bread crust, then bright noble hop aroma fades into a soap-like note, cola caramel as it warms.
T: Light roast and biscuit malt, spicy hops, hard water flavor (specifically iron), light floral hop notes, dry-ish moderately bitter finish.
F: Light body, medium-high carbonation, smooth neutral feel.
O: Easy drinking, session-able, nice flavor.

Draught pint at The Brass Tap here in Baltimore: Only my second of this style, so mostly comparing to other dark lagers - Well have to think about this a bit

Labelled on the can as a Czech Dark Lager. Pours a clear, dark ruby with a large fast fading tan head and modest lacing. Malt dominated aroma, some caramel, some dark fruit and a bit of chocolate. Taste of toasted malts along with the dark fruit and chocolate. Also getting a moderate amount of nuttiness trying to poke through. Goes gently on the hops with the exception of spiciness in the aftertaste. Creamy, medium bodied mouthfeel. Not a style I see a lot; a welcome distraction.
