A rotating selection, billed as a collaboration between Monument City Brewing, Aveley Farms Coffee Roasters, and Whitey's Liquor store. Never seen a liquor store collab before.
Anyhow, they call it a "vanilla late milk stout," and in spite of the abundance of specificity in that label the beer itself is impressively balanced and straightforward. The pour is quite dark and pleasantly effervescent. The aroma is firm but not overwhelming, with an admirable amount of charred barley and dry hops offset only slightly by nodes of roasted coffee. The flavor profile is a tad more coffee-forward, starting stouty and getting gradually more sweet and smooth as the sip progresses, with a lingering finish of hops enticing you to drink some more.
One of the more impressive non-gimmicky beers I've come across in a while.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
