2018 vintage. Poured from 500 mL bottle into shaker pint glass. Bottled on the 319th day of 2018. 6.2% ABV.
A: Pours a very slightly hazy golden yellow hue with a thin white skim.
S: Sweet white wine, orange, white pepper, and a hint of funky lemon.
T: Sweet white wine, funky orange and lemon, white pepper, and dry cracker malt.
M: Light body. Light citrus sweetness. Moderate farmyard funk. Lingers nicely on the palate.
D: A very easy drinking saison with nice barrel aging notes from the Sauvignon Blanc barrels. I’m suspecting that my just over 1.5 year old bottle is a bit past peak. Probably best to drink within the first 6-12 months.

This is a great beer. Delicate malt profile, great carbonation, nice hopping supported by tremendous white wine flavors.

This is my first review of any beer and the first on this beer. This pours a light yellow color and has a white head that dissipates after like 5 minutes. This experimental brew smells of slightly of wine and a lot of yeast, as it was aged in wine barrels for 6 months, its 7.6% ABV, but doesn't really have a bad bite, so its quite drinkable. The taste is quite yeasty with a slight hint of wine and as I said earlier its hard to tell that its even 7.6% ABV. Way better than I thought it would be. It kind of reminds me a bit of Goose Island's Matilda. There is definitely a high chance that I buy this again.
