A nicely delicate French-style Saison forms the base of the beautiful interplay between the craft beer itself and a 6 month evolution in Sauvignon Blanc barrels. No single element dominates, which creates a sublimely beautiful and nicely artisanal barrel aged experiment.

From the 750 ml. bottle shared by a non-Beer Advocate member. Sampled on June 27, 2015.
The color is a kind of copper-amber tone with a quick head.
The first sensation on my nose is white grapes. After that there is a little sweet maltiness and the slightest black licorice character but no booze to speak of.
The body is medium to full.
The grape-like taste makes it feel more like wine than beer but its heavier body reminds me more of beer. Bitter finish.
