I guess what I think makes a great IPA is different than others. I believe this beer is severely underrated. It's taste and smell are fresh, bright, and wonderfully citrusy. There is just the right amount of earthy funkiness to make the beer interesting and set it off the conventional IPA that has become so common place. I will definitely buy it again!

A massive white meringue foam quickly builds atop a sparkling but cloudy gold body.
Smell is floral but bretty with a little orange rind, grapefruit and hay.
Taste is quite bitter of brett, but also really floral. Hoppy to the nth degree, this is powerfully pungent, with grass and even a touch of gasoline. Caramel and biscuit try and fail to overtake the phenolic spice.
Feel is medium but the dryness and bitterness make it difficult to detect anything but absolute Brillo Pad. This beer just unabashedly scrapes the palate.

On tap at the brewery. This is a brett version of their SMaSH IPA. Pours a mostly clear yellow golden color with white head. Brett, and overwhelmingly brett for an IPA, not much hop on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light bodied. Finishes with plenty of brett, and the citrus and grass hop notes finally come through.
