Pours a dense, dark purple color with a thin, fizzy, purple-tinted head that's quick to dissipate. Zero lacing.
Sour, tart aroma with a definite blueberry quality and what's probably some pretty strong lime right underneath. It's very strong smelling and a little discordant at first.
The taste follows the nose. Big blueberry juice fruitiness at first, almost to the point of creaminess, followed by strong lime. It's very tart and definitely salty.
Pretty heavy bodied for the style, with strong carbonation.
Man, I wish I had some Tex-Mex to go with this. A tequila-barrel aged version would be interesting. I might actually try a McGyvered version of that with my next pour. The salt and lime are coming on strong the more I drink it. Reminds me of a '90s grunge feedback loop. I like it.
