On tap at Bad Daddy's Burger bar into pint glass. Pours crystal clear deep ruby red/amber color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy off white head with great retention and spotty soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas of caramel, biscuit, nuttiness, and herbal/woody hops. Taste of caramel, brown sugar, toast, brown bread, nuttiness, light coffee/cocoa, wood, peppercorn, pine, herbal, floral, grass. Medium pine/woody bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; balanced bready malts and sticky hop mouthfeel. Lingering resinous hop drying mouthfeel with minimal astringency. Spot on amber ale on malts, but it's a bit too bitter like an ipa. Either way very drinkable and clean. No off flavors.
