Living in a place bursting with fruit of all kinds, it's only natural that our beer would be inspired by it, like this easy-to-pick Blackberry Ale.

Clear light gold color. Thin head quickly dropped down to a thin hazy patch, leaving no lacing. Very few bubbles rising to the surface.
Strong blackberry/blueberry scent that smells like a blue popsicle. This smells like an artificial flavoring. This is mixed with a lighter barnyard scent. Swirling the glass boosted the barnyard.
Surprisingly strong malt with a light berry flavor. Slightly sweet. A light level of bitters pops up after a while. The aftertaste is malty bitters with only a hint of the berry.
Slight tongue tingling. Slowly turns into a coarse bubbled foam. More carbonation than expected from the visual. A little astringent.
It would be great if everybody would clean up their gear to get rid of the barnyard. This fad started about a year ago. Most brewers have backed off, but then it shows up again in something like this. The artificial berry flavoring would be far more appropriate in a cooler.
