Crowler filled on 12/10/22; consumed on 12/22/22
Pours a turbid, milky, baby food-gold body capped with two fingers of fluffy, dirty-white foam; good head retention yields a spotty few island of soapy cap, a rocky, frothy collar, and a limited array of webby/spotty lacing dotted around the walls of the glass.
Aromas trend mossy with strawberry edges upfront, enlivened by vibrant, fresh key lime zest and grapefruit peel sporting bubblegum interludes as shaved stone fruit develops through time.
Taste opens to mushy peaches, creamy lime, and underripe pineapple edged with wet moss, while underscores of musty bubblegum over the mid-palate fades to bits of grapefruit and passionfruit and leaving mango sorbet to finish.
Mouthfeel offers a medium-full body and a fluffy spritz of moderate carbonation; creamy textures veer slightly resinous through the mid-palate as a punchy bittering contrasts a juicy bog washing over the finish.
Immense and untamed in fervent ultra-saturation, this is the eclectically weighty sort of hoppy ale that would actually benefit from some time to settle; the cost/benefit of taking the traditionally turbid brand of NEIPA to that next level on full display.
