Canned in a big old crafty craft can
Pours a jet black body with massive foaming thick tan head
Aroma is creamy mocchiatta and dusting of cocoa powder
That in the flavour with a splash of treacle

L- Effectively black for me, no light from a halogen lamp gets through it. Pours with brief 2mm tan head.
S- Major cocoa notes, and I don't think anything else has a chance of competing with that.
T- 'Super-cocoa'! One of the more cocoa-ey beers I've had, with a hint of vanilla in the finish. [*]
F- It is slightly on the richer side but have no fear it's not anywhere close to being 'sweet' < something that can happen in beers of this style, esp. when the ABV% is amped up.
O- Well it might taste more like a dessert than a beer but it's not OTT and so an interesting and enjoyable beer. That said it is perhaps the most Cocoa-ey beer I've ever head, whether that suits is to your taste, to me it's different and pleasant here. I haven't read the print on the can yet, but I imagine they *have* to have added cocoa nibs to get this depth.
Interesting to try but it's $$$ and perhaps as I drink on becoming a bit one-dimensional to buy again.
£5.75/440ml can, from Real Ale, Formosa street, London W9. BB: April 2021.
ps. [*] I got cocoa notes immediately, whereas my wife with zero clues, leads, hints or any idea what it was got fudge and cake.
