Rather lightweight, seemingly ordinary stuff. Apple juice yellow, no head, no lace. Boozy and juicy on the nose in a pleasant way. Tasty though, gentle fruit and yeast. Thin bodied, clean. Sneaks up on you in a nice way, drinkable, but subtle.

Pours a hazy, deep straw colored body with about an inch of foamy head that slowly fades to a film. The aroma is strongly reminiscent of flowery yeast with a faint kick of spice from the back, though it is too faint to dissect here. The taste begins with a bready, yeasty sweetness, blending into some rosewater tones, and a bluntly bitter finish, that does ring out a bit of a long smooth finish with some peppery overtones and a bit of anise. A nice saison, not overwhelming in added ingredients or alcohol, but just pleasant. Despite the seemingly bland review, I think this is an excellent expression of the beer style while still introducing some new techniques to the process, so it is something I could see myself drinking again.
