Excellent lacing from a moderate head. Cloudy dirty straw color.
Caramel start to the nose. Slightly sweet. Wonderful floral hop.
More dry than expected. The body is neutral with a slightly elevated effervescence. Stronger but not overwhelming bitterness in the swallow. Somewhat earthy. The result is a long aftertaste.

Straw yellow in color. Scent is sickly sweet, overripe fruit. Lots of melon and some stone fruit in the profile. Very muddled and nothing really takes hold. This is drinkable and I grew into it a bit. Just nothing that really stands out.

Slightly foggy golden colour under a moderate head, some early lace, then some spotty lace along the way. Gentle nose with grassy hops and a hint of lemon. Gentle tropical fruit to taste, properly bittered by hops. A little bit of sparkle on the palate. Overall just straight up the middle stuff -- won't put off anybody, but won't excite a lot of folks either. Drinkable, inoffensive, not really memorable in any way.

473 ml can served reasonably cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for around $3.50 CDN. Codes starts with C17, I'm taking a stab that that means March 17, 2021. So it's pretty fresh.
Appearance- Pale straw colored beer with amber highlights, some hazy but not as fuzzy as most. Two plus fingers of decadent white head are poured and stick to everything, leaving a bevy of lacing at the edges of the glass.
Smell - Sweet tropical notes, overripe mango, some cantaloupe and backed with lemon and grapefruit. It's fine, and maybe I need warmer whether to enjoy this but seems very generic in nose.
Taste - Hmm... some mango and orange generally and not terribly bitter, but there's actually a sensation of the flavor being sucked out of the beer and gradually it comes back. Odd to say the least. The flavors aren't bad, but lacking a bit of sweetness usually found with the NE style.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, semi-dry finish, carbonation is appropriate. No issues here.
Overall - Decent enough brew, no flaws, but I'm left wanting a little more, the absence of flavor at the beginning of the sip is disconcerting even though it is approachable enough. Given the plethora of new IPA's on shelves lately, I'm unlikely to be reaching for this Mill Street offering again.

Tallboy from the LCBO; coded Mar 17 2021 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a foggy, translucent blonde-yellow colour, generating one finger of soapy, rocky white head that wilts within a couple of minutes. An attractive swath of messy lace is flung about behind it, with a filmy cap and thin collar also lingering on; looks rather nice in the glass, but it's not especially aromatic. Wheaty malts and grains, with hints of lemon, grapefruit and spicy, bright floral hops.
Pleasantly understated, yet flavourful - I'm getting juicier notes of apricot and orange at the forefront, along with hints of lemon, grapefruit and grainy wheat sweetness. It gets pithier towards the back end, with floral, spicy, lightly woodsy hop bitterness at the finish, followed by a fruity, floral aftertaste with briefly persisting suggestions of pineapple and stone fruit. Medium in body, with lively carbonation that feels spritzy and prickly on the tongue, lending a crisp bite to this organic IPA's mouthfeel. Not exactly a session option, but I wouldn't have minded another.
Final Grade: 3.77, a respectable B+. Mill Street has brewed more than a few organic beers over the years - their rather mundane Lager being the most ubiquitous, but I also recall a pale ale, a weissbier, and of course their passably solid Pilsner. This hazy Organic IPA might just be the best of that bunch, though I still wouldn't say it rises to the same level as the top notch hazy IPAs you can find around Ontario these days. In any event, hopheads across the country can consider this worth taking a flyer on, especially if you find it fresh.
