Nice pale head that quickly fades. For a vienna lager, the color is a bit pale, a deep amber. This is a super easy drinking beer, more like a light beer than a Vienna lager, however there is a touch of toasted malt, which comes through as the brew warms. I recommend enjoying it in a stein. The light flavor is one of sweet, herbal malt with an interesting dry texture, similar to what I've experienced in wine. Good beer, I just wish there was a touch more of what is already there.

Can, just listed as "Sunset"
Appearance: Gushed as I poured my glass, all foam. After it settled it showed a very hazy yellow glass (in contract to the "filtered crystal clear" on the can) and a rocky huge white head.
Aroma: Sharp metallic note with a musty malt element. I think this might be infected.
Taste: Slight lactic twang confirms something odd swimming in here. Sharp cheese note. It's not undrinkable, but it's not really pleasant.
Mouthfeel: Super carbonated, dry, medium light body.
Overall: Not happy, hopefully I just got a bad can and the rest of the batch is ok.

Audacity Brew House "Sunset Vienna-style Lager"
12 oz. can, no freshness dating
Appearance: Fairly clear gold to deep gold body with straw gold highlights beneath a short lived head of bright white. The lacing that's initially left behind is fairly nice but not much else follows.
Aroma: Malty with a hint of sweetness, and some off, plastic-like phenols that detract.
Flavor: Some fruitiness enters but it's not the juicy fruitiness that's normally derived from Vienna malts, and thus seems out of place for the style. It's well balanced, however, with the exception of the odd phenolic note that lingers a bit too long in the finish.
Mouthfeel: Smooth and gently crisp with a medium to medium-light body and a fine-bubbled median carbonation.
Overall: Although I'd have to argue against this beer as a "Vienna-style lager" on many fronts, I can see where it's going and I like it. Unfortunately I've tried two different samples in writing this review and found the off-putting phenolic in both (possibly from the same batch but with no coding or dates I can't tell).

Pours a pretty clear golden color with white head. Cereal grains on the nose, not much else; follows onto the palate. Light bodied. Pretty one dimensional. Finishes clean.
