This quarantine is working out in my favor as it is even better than having my Summer(s) off as a teacher. The heat will sometimes get to me to the point that I just do not feel like doing anything. In this cool Spring, I have been motivated to redd up & eradicate my beer backlog in doing so. This one is just a random Bottle (Eeek!) find in the 6-pack carriers that truly plague my existence.
From the Bottle (!): "Made with select malts, American hops, cultured yeast and filtered water."; "From the windswept hills of Pennsylvania comes a big, farm-crafted ALE. I Pop!ped the cap & started a slow, gentle C-Line pour into the awaiting glass. I noticed that there was not much forming in the way of head so I gave it an in-glass swirl. This raised a brief finger-plus of fizzy, foamy, soapy, bone-white head that quickly fell away back to wisps. Color was deep enough to be considered solid-Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9) with NE-quality clarity. Nose had a sweetish breadiness, very malt-driven. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste had a pleasant honey & vanilla breadiness. Mmm. Its relatively low ABV made it very quaffable. Finish was semi-sweet, about what I can handle in a malt-driven beer. Now, if they would just consider putting it in CANs … YMMV.

clear pale golden yellow body, small white head leaving minimal lacing.
Faintly lagery aroma.
Flavors are muted, but quite nicely balanced. Faintly sweet, grassy, floral, even a hint of spice.
Mouth is around medium. There is a little bite to the finish.
Overall, very drinkable sessionable beer. can see pounding these for hours on a summers day.

DATE: February 19, 2017... OCCASION: having visited Mom/Dad, now relaxing on a 60-plus degree Sunday... GLASSWARE; Howard's Pub pint... pours a golden whirl of effervescence, with a champagne-like clarity supporting its single-finger, clumpy head...bubbles ring the head as well.... billed as a blond ale, the aroma gives the impression of something maltier, with apple and pear, oats, wet hay, lightly toasted cereal, and lemon grass... the first sip is pilsneresque, with a flutter at the teeth, a solid, medium-bodied middle, and a fizzy finish... creamy at the start as well... at 4.8%, lively and swift... flavor profile is soft, with cereal and oat, light floral hops, light citrus, apple, some vegetable oddities and light caramel... sweeter than expected... not sure what to make of this, save it does make for light and refreshing drinking... the maltiness mars any though this is a true blond, while the crispness and late banana suggest wheat... having seen Wyndridge before, this has piqued my interest slightly, but I will seek out other styles before returning to this one...

11/5/16...pours clear gold, little foam, if any. Malty nose with a touch of pine. Very little nose. Light taste. Subtle bitter, some citrus, a sort of pilsner like malt. Somewhat creamy. Fairly simple and routine.

I'm scoring this as it compares to others in its style, not as a stand-alone. The brew's appearance is rich-gold with only slight lacing. Initial smell is bready, but then turns grape-like. Taste is not bitter at all and quite pleasant. It is "beer sweet" and flavorful - just shy of 'robust'. The mouth- feel is full and not excessively carbonated. Overall it is like a gracious guest - Friendly, non-intrusive, and you don't mind it hanging around after the others leave. I am happy to give this brew its 10th review which will allow its score to be shown.

Pours an almost nonexistent head, with a well-carbonated and hazy amber colored body.
Smells almost like sweet desert-bread, other that than it's quite modest.
This is quite sweet, with some cloves and Belgian yeast. Like earlier reviewers I question the categorization of this as a American Blonde Ale - while not really knowing what I'd rather call it. The Belgian influences are strong in this one though which makes it a quite enjoyable beer.

American Blonde Ale? This beer looks dark orange like a standard old school IPA. Smell is super malty and bready. Very solid balance of malt and hop. Nothing citrusy here. This is an old school pale ale from around late 1990's. Nice beer and recommend for easy drinking with some flavor.
