From my shorthand notes while at the brewery: A good classic American West Coast IPA featuring clean tasty piney hops.

this one may need a few tweaks to get to the next level. the hops seem really really bitter in it without a ton of the pine flavor promised by the aroma, which was actually rather enticing. nice color to it though, pale glowing brassy, just a slight haze to it, and a nice looking white head, falling off a bit quick. fresh cut pine in the nose, its really pungent and seemingly delicious, but in the taste, they turn all bitter and that fresh distinctness is lost. oddly yeasty too, not sure if this got fermented a bit warm and some off flavors developed, its not quite meaty, and its not fruity, but its heavy in a strange way. combine that with the intense bitterness and its hard to drink to much of. that said though, i think they are onto something with this, it has potential to be different and delicious, and id like to see it evolve to that level. its not way far off.

Beer had a great color, good head retention, but was a mess of hops and had a harsh bitterness.
