Burwood Pilsner reveals a delicious hop bouquet of citrus and herbs that are followed by bright grains and honey. A blast of lemon zest and honeysuckle meets a barrage of bright malty goodness. The final sip delivers a harmonious blend of fragrant hops, bready malt with a rich golden color.

delicious and drinkable pils here, one of my favorites to date from burwood, small but mighty. real light blonde colored beer with a low glow and pretty good clarity, looks right on, maybe a shade lighter than most, with lots of rising carbonation and a short white head crowning my draft pour. the nose on this is subtle, especially when cold, a fresh and clean german pils malt graininess, not a ton else, the hops are lightly citrusy but reserved, and the yeast doesnt really come out until this warms up a bit, but also is authentic and professionally deployed. a light clover note, good minerality, wet and cold. the flavor is great here, nice balance, more hops than i could smell, a tad floral, noble and grassy but without intense spice or bitterness, bright then, and springy. the grain leads, but is mellow and dry, cereal forward but without the dusty thing german pils sometimes takes on, the lager yeast is frothy and fresh, emitting a proofing dough character as well. its really tidy on the ferment, near dry, and the flavor comes in waves. its refreshing and a pounder, but also loaded with nuance and i think technically approaching the magnificent level. loved it with salty food, and could see this as a boat or golf course drink for the craft nerd pretty easily. nice balance and contribution from all the ingredients, rock solid.

On tap at Pub 124 today. Very hot day in Walla Walla today, so this is a great place to hang out with a cold one.

The beer pours a pale gold color with pretty decent head retention and lacing. On the nose, I'm not picking up a whole lot (the garlic emanating from the kitchen might be part of the problem), just some light white pepper, cracker and a hint of honey. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, but the beer delivers a lot more flavor than expected. The finish is crisp and bitter, which enhances the beer's drinkability. Mouthfeel is medium bodied at most, and alcohol is pretty much undetectable.

This is a nicely crafted pils from the folks at Burwood. It's on tap at a lot of different places around town and I can now see why. Would definitely order this again.

Light gold to straw in color. Head retention needs some work. Aroma is floral and earthy hops. Slightly vegetal. Flavor is more floral and earthy hops with floral finish. Malt is light and flour-like. Medium crisp, and dry finish. Medium bitterness. Overall - light, kind of watery pilsner, but it has good flavor and bite.
