cryo hop ipa, clear and golden, robust in the nose but not amazing to me, lots of hops but not as unique as expected, and its a little tired tasting, even with a little cleaner note to it, like its been sitting in the line too long or something, just not quite all the way there for me, and i ended up liking both the lagers i had from these guys quite a bit better than this one. some mango and sweet orange in the nose, grapefruit too, and a little honey sweetness. seems simple on the malt side, not quite clean on the ferment, and has a certain harshness to it that i am not used to from cryo hops. the flavor is just okay for me, lemon and lemon candy, green vegetables and the water they were boiled in, citrus pith, and maybe faint pineapple, robustly dosed for sure but not as vibrant and fresh tasting as i hoped for, and i dont think its a great showcase of what cryo hops can do. a little soapy to me as it warms, more bitter than anticipated too, and just a little disjointed and amateur in this experience. not bad, but it did not stand out as one of the better hoppy beers i had in the area this week. the art is better than the liquid...
