Purchased yesterday at the source cold and kept cold until served. Poured to a ultra fancy tulip-like glass from a 16oz undated can.
The body is light apricot in color and completely opaque. A three-finger head sits after the pour and fades over a few minutes to a film and a 6mm/1/4” glass hugging ring. Lacing is moderate but modern art-like. Lacing stays on the glass for a long time.
The aroma is of grapefruit with a mild onion background.
The taste is similar and pleasant on the front end but the finish is all alcohol and hop burn.
The mouthfeel is creamy and coating.
I had good hopes for this beer, but the finish is off putting.

 

 

 

 

 

Cloudy light orange with a finger of creamy, yellowed head.

Orange citrus, creamsicle and a little white pepper in the nose.

Although starting with a little creamsicle, melon and pineapple core, the fruitiness of the taste is more muted than the aroma. The fruit flavors dull in the finish, and are joined by some watered down milkiness and a fairly-strong peppery, Italian herb quality. Something not unlike oregano or marjoram lingers in the aftertaste along with a ome pilly bitterness.

Medium bodied with low carbonation.

Not bad. There are some elements I enjoy quite a bit, and others that leave me wanting more.

Pours a dirty, brown-tinted orange body topped with multiple fingers of fluffy, eggshell-white foam; spectacular head retention yields a finger of creamy cap, a moderate, frothy collar, and a comprehensive, chunky spread of soapy lacing ringing around the glass; the dingy initial appearance does it no favors, though it's structurally near-perfect there on out.

Aroma opens with a steady stream of creamy, floral lime, soon saturated in tropical tones highlighting peach, with an herbal interlude of dried oregano; cantaloupe rind and grapefruit peel find a place on the back end, with earthier spiced citrus peel taking over the closing aspects.

Taste brings a familiarly expressive, floral lime, this time accented with further detail of passionfruit and light mango, with flaky malt consistent in the background; pineapple softens the mid-palate before underripe papaya and sweeter tropical fruits take a zesty turn on the finish.

Mouthfeel offers a medium body, approachable and silky upfront, and balanced with a soft, moderate carbonation; develops a slight, creamy texture and a contrasting mild hop acidity past the mid-palate, with a juicy burst before it dries; raw, chalky bitterness peaks on the back end and lingers softly through the finish.

A bit haywire in practice, even by the standard Tilted Barn has set with their intense, aggressive hop profiles, though concentrated enough for their barebones signatures to come through and leave a great pour that's kept me consistently intrigued and embroiled in the raw tones I've come to love and appreciate from this brewery.

I normally do not give a straight 5's across the board but this brew is exceptional. I recently had a fresh batch of hoppy brews from a very well known Massachusetts brewery and was impressed with them but this little brewery in RI hands down blew me away with this one.

Light opaque orange with a thick with head, smells of tropical fruit (passion fruit, pineapple, guava). The taste is the same as the smell with no bitterness, soft mouth feel. Absolutely amazing.
