Unusual, spicy, worth trying. A nice beer for a fine summers evening in Offaly Ireland

Poured a hazy ruby/dark garnet colour.
Smelled slightly smokey with spicy hops and Belgian yeasts; heavy sweet malts.
Tasted like sweet bananas from the yeast, very smooth and mild. Very little carbonation and was almost creamy in texture. There was a hint of clove as well.
Would i buy it again? Yes.

On draught at Irish Beer and Whiskey Festival '15, RDS, Dublin.
Amber chestnut with a ring of off-white foam. 3.75
Banana esters and a bit of caramel on the nose. 3.75
Toffee, estery red pear, slight wax, spice that’s mostly pepper, and some papery huskiness - low on hops. 3.75
Cherry stone finish and clovey numbing linger.
Medium, chewy, some cling. 3.75
Darker and maltier than I’d look for in a saison. There is pepper, yes, but it’s black, not white and the typical lemon, anise/spice, and herbal (arugula/sage) notes are missing, not to mention any actual hop character. This was brewed ahead of the titular astronomical event, so let’s be generous and say the lack of brightness makes it a concept beer! 3.75
