From bottle, Pours cloudy golden-straw with moderate white head. Aroma spice tropical and citrus. Taste lychee, lemon, herbal, spice, yeast fruits herbal notes. Not my favourite style but if you do you would most likely really enjoy this.

Very pale straw,
Smell is as another reviewer points out, pure NZ Sauvignon Blanc. All passion fruit and unripe apples.
Taste is more sour apples with a little hop addition.
Have they made a hoppy saison? Sort of, but the mouthfeel, highly carbonated and thin kinda kills it.
A good beer, but not great......

Wolf Of The Willows ISA, Wolf Of The Willows is a what?! [Doc’s brain: Bad joke completed - prepare for Endorphin release... gratification delivered - carry on] On a serious note: Brewers are getting really silly these days with names and styles and such, I mean - India Saison Ale... WTF Wolf?! I understand it is hard to stand out in the crowd as a brewer these days but there’s no need to completely fabricate new beer styles, which BTW when you call something “India” in the beer world it generally means upward of 6% ABV, at 5.2% this isn’t even close to India! [rant over]
Poured from a 500ml bottle into a Duvel tulip.
A: Presents a hazed pineapple-juice coloured body with a white 1 cm head that sticks around quite well. I like this colour, makes me hanker for a glass of pineapple juice. 8/10.
S: Wow, a very Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc bouquet upfront - this has to have Nelson Sauvin hops in it. White wine, gooseberry and a touch of Bazooka Joe bubble gum towards the back combine into an aroma I want to inject directly into my olfactory senses - sen-f**king-sational! 10/10.
T: Well we all knew it wouldn’t be as good as the aroma promised (how could it be?). That part out of the way it is still quite an intriguing brew with characters of: White wine, gooseberry, bubble gum, pepper and a potpourri floral note in the background. Finishes relatively dry, peppery and with a light grassy bitterness. This drinks a lot like a NZ Sauvignon Blanc, but it’s - you know, a beer. 8/10.
M: Definitely the weakest link in ISA [“Goodbye!”] with a mid to light body and an overly gassy carbonation. 6/10.
D: Another different brew from Wolf Of The Willows, despite them ascribing it the ridiculous (and unnecessary) moniker of “India Saison”, they have managed to pleasantly surprise me once again. As a part-time wine drinker I did enjoy the classic NZ Sauv Blanc flavours of this brew, however I can see this as a HUGE turn-off to many beer drinkers, who for some reason, unbeknownst to me, I assume hate wine or any spirits made with the fruit of the vine... their loss (and my assumption) really. 8/10.
Food match: Spring green salad and lobster with Chèvre and citrus.
Note to reader: You will burb a lot, and violently, with this brew - YHBW: You Have Been Warned.

Pours gold with a large head.
Nose shows heavy saison notes, some tropical fruit, guava and lychee.
Heaps more fruit as a flavour, fitting in with the dry frinish and farmhouse notes.

L. straight up golden yellow. second pour cloudy. carbonation looks good but head vanishes completely.
S. banana lollies, pears, little pepper
T. sweet hit at first.. then longer lasting moderate bitterness.. tart dry finish.
O. lacking substance. i want real unique character from this style... barely distinct from the multitude of other mediocre saisons flooding the shelves..
