Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a burnt orange color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Mild stringy lace. The aroma takes some bready malt to try and blend with some citrusy and grassy hops. Light spice with a subtle dried floral quality. The flavor leans with the malty side and seems to leave the floral quality out. Citrusy and grassy hops touch the bitterness portion. Bready aftertaste kicks up that spice to try and flow into the finish, but ends up slightly missing. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. ABV seems appropriate. Malts crisp themselves nicely to my tongue. Overall, this one was a pretty good APA that I could come back to.

Pours medium, cloudy amber with a great, somewhat rocky off-white head. Aroma is faint-- bready malts, some citrusy hops.

Nice, subtle flavor with this pale ale. There is a fair amount of bitterness, but it does not take away from the overall smoothness that this beer demonstrates. Initially it's kind of tangy, citrusy hoppy thing, moving on to a lightly-roasted maltiness on the aftertaste. This beer does not have the punch of other pale ales, but oh, is it smooth. Mouthfeel is slippery and creamy for a beer of its lightness. Drinkability is phenomenal-- a bomber of this goes down so easy, and the flavor is vastly superior to other brews of this light body.

Solid beer, and the best thing is I got an absurd deal on the case of bombers.

nice, unfilitered, amber huge. small, thin ring around the top of the head. no lacing on the glass.

smell more of malt, than hops. but a nice balance, but nothing really too intersting going on.

taste with some nice malts followed by a light hops bitter note. good taste, simple, but good. seems to be a very by the book ipa, which is enjoyable and balanced.

mouthfeel is smooth and light. taste is balanced enough to enjoy more than one.

Picked this brew up a few weeks ago when we where vacationing in Maine. Picked up a number of goodies at Tully's (what a great place, clean nice selection and the girl that was working both times I stopped in was great) and this was one of them. Brew pours to a deep russet amber color with a nice sized light tan head that has some legs and while leaving a nice amount of lacing. The aroma was very English, nice malt, slightly musty, pronounced hop scent which is really inviting. The flavors are very nice, strong caramel like malt flavor that quickly dissipates as the hop flavor come out but not sure if they would be Fuggle or Golding, either way it is a nice flavorful brew. Has a nice feel to it as the carbonation is good and plays nice with the hop flavor. Very easy drinking brew, wish that these would available in New York, guess it just means more trips to maine, which is not a bad thing!

22oz bomber, purchased at Tully's, and p[oured into a pint glass. The beer was a hazy amber color with a thick tan head. Plenty of lacing. Aroma was a little muted, malt and citrus. Very tasty, though. Sweet malt up front with a nice grapefruit finish. On the dry side. Very enjoyable, would be a good session beer.

A brand new one from Bar Harbor Brewing Company invented by the new brewer. I figured I'd try it.

APPEARANCE: Pours a very opaque golden amber into a shaker pint glass. A big 2-finger head forms on top and drops to a full surface coating of bubbles.

SMELL: Not terribly aromatic, but what's there is perfectly balanced and perfectly simple. Some English hop aroma over top of a clean pale malt base. Nice.

TASTE: Nicely balanced here as well, maybe leaning a bit toward the malty side. It has a significant toasted component to it and finishes with some of the English hop flavor on the finish.

MOUTHFEEL: Light bodied and crisp with a medium-high carbonation. Sounds like a pale ale to me.

DRINKABILITY: Very good. I'm so glad this comes in a bomber. I wish the ABV was listed on the bottle because if it's low enough, it'd be an ideal session beer.

A very nice beer which is probably my second favorite from Bar Harbor Brewing Company. Given that they've changed locations, brewers, labels, and many other things this past year, this beer tells me it was all probably a move in the right direction.
