Teaming up with cross town brewers of Ethereal Brewing, Mirror Twin rolls into Craft Beer Week with a big ole kumbaya moment that hangs on hops, pale lager and sheer gumption.

International Party Libation, or IPL, plays on the senses like IPA with a pale golden color and a creamy white cap. A boisterous hop bouquet is spicy, fruity and floral scent. A light, crisp and wafer thin maltiness shows a slim sweetness with raw, fresh grain and a hint of fresh baking bread.

Fading into a slight honeysuckle flavor, the malts quickly subsides and the hop perfume turns fruity with the classic IPA flavors of white grapefruit, orange peel and slight lemon zest. Trending spicy, bitter and dryly resinous, a pleasant and grassy hop bite brings elements of fresh pine, lemongrass and peppery twinge of green tea.

Medium light in body, the lager textures show a crisper, cleaner and more refreshing side of IPA, but its dryness acts as a deterant to taste as the hops lack the roundness to sell their identifiable character or their utmost charm. Where its taste is subtle the beer's ultimate rewards are in its premiere refreshment and effortlessness on the tongue and tummy.
