Appearance: Pours espresso colored with a two-finger khaki head; webs of lacing
Smell: Smells like dark chocolate covered cherry cordial candies
Taste: The cherry flavors ooze out from the chocolate just like candy cordials; sweet but a little bit tart with a chocolate finish; not getting much impact from the barrel until the beer warmed and, even then, there was just a hint on the finish
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate carbonation
Overall: I was hoping for more impact from the Bourbon and Rye but I really enjoyed the Proustian chocolate cordial effect, nevertheless, as it has been a long time since I have had that candy

Had on tap. Surprisingly bitter for a cherry stout. Base stout is very robust in flavor: molasses, licorice, coffee, dark chocolate, then add big whiskey barrel presence, and the cherry is on top with a quick pop of sweet tartness. Different and stands out in that regard, but nothing too crazy
