I don’t know that I’d ever think I’d love a milkshake IPA featuring mango, but here we are. The mango color on the pour indeed looks like a milkshake, and there’s loads of floaties.
The mango is prominent on the nose and REALLY prominent on the taste. I wouldn’t want to drink this every day, but if I’m in the mood for mango, this is my go to.

Released 3/5/19; drank 3/24/19 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque dull orange appearance.
A violent pour yielded a huge off-white head; a thick curtain of frothy lace.
Strawberry, orange citrus, mild cream soda & faint dry grass notes in the nose.
Medium thick mouthfeel.
Pink lemonade & faint strawberry flavors up front; dry grass & faint cream soda notes on the finish.
Interesting, and might be more tasty in the summer, but overall misses the milkshake mark. Just OK.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on March 20, 2019. Double IPA brewed with fresh pineapple and cherry juices, creamy lactose sugars and Mosaic hops. Lots of ripe pineapple flavor. Cherry is more subtle.

I used to avoid the nomenclature in beer categories, and now I've wrapped myself up in it. Label says "Pineapple Cherry Milkshake Double IPA." I say NEIPA. Poured from a pint can into a tulip; can acquired 5 days ago as a single at Malloys in Lisle. Can't find a date on the can. Pours a reddish pulpy color as if someone screwed up attempting a tequila sunrise. A fizzy head forms on the rim with a persistent head island in the middle of the glass. Smells of pineapple. The cherries come later, particularly after a few sips. Slightly fizzy, a little watery. I don't get the milkshake angle at all. To me, that requires a creaminess and/or vanilla, though the lack of the latter is absolutely fine with me. Can't taste the booze. Drinks quickly.
