Canned 10/6/22; drank 12/29/22 @ the Yarchives.
Black/brown appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice, noisy tan head; strong tree-rung lace.
Oak, dark chocolate, mild cream & faint cherry notes in the nose.
Creamy medium thick mouthfeel.
Oak, dark chocolate, mild cherry & mild bourbon flavors.
Easy to drink, good flavors.
Not going to blow your mind, but worth a quaff.

Had on tap. Shimmering pitch black pour, lighter brown cap. Smell is very barrel forward, those robust willet barrel really do stand out in a crowd, with dark chocolate, with faint molasses and earth supporting. Taste is a clinic in dark oak and dark chocolate, hint of dark fruit lingers before the hug booziness washes it all out to finish. Very warm, barrel dominant feeling, heavy but not overly thick. A good midnight sipper in the dead of winter
