Malt forward with a robust, velvety body. Toasted malt notes and a light noble hop balance the sweetness of this traditional beer.

Clear reddish brown pour, full beige head. Malts, malt, and more malts in the nose with caramel and dark brown yeast. Malt forward but not very sweet, has that tootsie roll/burnt caramel combo going, better as it warms but never super deep nonetheless. Lighter but not thinner with plenty malts. Good for a cooler spring night, like the march night I enjoyed it

16oz can. Bottom stamp reads 'DRAW ME ONE S1290 BB08. 04. 25'.
Clear, amber brown colored body. Thin light tan head with the pour but this disappears, and a mild surface storm is the result. No lalcing.
Aroma of baked dark bread, with a little apple and pear.
Taste follows the nose with baked dark bread from the malts. Also has a spicy and fruity flavor, similar to apples with cinnamon. Sweet overall but not too much. All blend and fade together in the aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel, with a touch of stickiness. Smooth texture. Higher ABV% is evident from the tongue tingling. Good carbonation.
One will notice the sweetness but there is also a balance with the fruit flavor and the spice.

"Best before 8/13/24"; drank 4/16/24 @ the Yarchives.

See-through brown/orange appearance.

A rough pour yielded a huge, noisy tan head; frothy tree-rung lacing remained.

Caramel, wood & faint red berry notes in the nose.

Creamy medium thick mouthfeel.

Big caramel flavors up front; mild raspberry & faint wood notes on the finish.

A simple, perhaps too sweet doppelbock; it's certainly not bad.
