Bought a Crowler for a friend who loves Porters. Live and learn, cuz this was terrible. Weird smoky aftertaste that just ruined it. It became a a bit of a joke and polite pass at the party. Drain pour.

32oz crowlers, sample from the brewery.
STYLE Robust Porter | ABV 5.4% | AVAILABILITY Year-round
Cocoa, Charcoal, Roasty, Bold
There can never be enough Porters in this world, especially robust ones. Brawny for its mid-range size, roasted flavors are heavy on the palate but stay restrained enough to not deter me from knocking back glass after glass. The brewers clearly know the difference between a Stout and Porter. I would love to see more dark ales from Garrison City. And it’s worth noting that Crowbar was packaged in the oh-so-popular, trending 32-ounce “crowler” container.

Crowler from The Drinkery Derry
Solid black color with a huge mocha head that persists forever. Huge chocolate aroma milk and dark with bits of caramel light fruit and earth. The taste again is huge chocolate, rich and luscious with hints of dark pitted fruit, light brown sugar and hints of earthy hop flavor. Light hop bitterness, just enough to keep from cloying and to let the chocolate shine through. Medium to medium thick body light to moderate level of carbonation with a creamy silky velvety mouthfeel. Huge chocolate flavor like a brown porter would have but thick and creamy, I'm a fan!
