32 oz Crowler purchased at the CBC near Manchester for $16+ and poured into a teku glass.
Pours a dark mohagany color, slightly hazy, with a fat finger of light tan head that sticks around pretty well and leaves some nice lace.
Aroma is a fairly pungent combination of pine, dank, and some citrus. Very nice.
Taste is very interesting. It has earthy and smoky qualities that combine with the rye spice, malt, and the hop combination present in the aroma, finishing with a quite bitter bite. The combination makes me think I'm drinking a nice peaty scotch. Towards the end of the crowler I started to get "IPA" fatique from the substantial bitterness, but it is nicely balanced with the malt backbone.
Mouthfeel is really good - medium body, fairly dry, but with balanced sweetness, nice level of carbonation throughout the crowler.
Overall, this is an unique and excellent take on a hoppy amber. The smoky, peaty characteristics are quite different and very interesting.

Hand pump at Cask and Vine
Murky deep brown color with a small big bubbled white head. Aromas of raw resinous earthy hop matter with bits of caramel and toffee maltiness. Slight astringency. Plowed through a pint in no time though.

32oz crowler, sample from the brewery.
Pour a dark reddish brown hue, decent off-white lacing on top. Sweet piney hop resin, orange rind & green tea within the nose with a hint of toasted bread and caramel malt. Palate mirrors the nose, juicy with a good balance even with a semi-aggressive hop character. Warming alcohol in the middle, hops go a bit spicy as well. Very well put together, a tad rustic but very drinkable. A real treat.
