With a half year of age it's come into it's own.

Thanks @JebBeerFish for this one.
Pours a nice dark black with a decent mocha colored head. Aroma 's of plum, cherry, and oak from the barrel. Taste is similar to the nose with a little bitter chocolate and roast on the finish. Mouthfeel is pretty good with adequate carbonation and a slight astringency from the barrel. Definitely a nice entrant in the BA stout category and a brewer to keep your eye on.

I stopped at the brewery only release this afternoon. I had a sample taste at the brewery to assure me that I needed to buy the 4 bottle limit.
This beer pours a dark rich black color in my tulip glass a nice thick brownish head on top. There is a wonderful bourbon aroma in the nose enough so it hides the other wonderful thinks that show up in the first taste. You get bourbon with chocolate and coffee and a wonderful creamy mouth feel. I hope they continue there barrel aged beers because this is a really good beer and I think perhaps a few months age will even make it better.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
