This was the first beer from Garrison City Beerworks that I have ever tried and it did not disappoint. The taste is lightly hop forward and the malt seems to stand out at first but as the beer settles on your taste buds it explodes with intense juicy citrus and resinous hop flavors. The body is medium light perhaps a bit too light in mouthfeel keeping it from being as spectacular as it could possibly be but overall it's a great beer and I would definitely indulge again.

Pours a hazy golden orange color with a 2-finger bubbly white head. The head settles into a nice ring around the top of the glass.
The aroma caught me off guard to be honest. There's an explosion of citrus; with notes of orange, tangerine, and mild grapefruit. Followed by some honeydew melon and peaches. There's also a nice sourdough malt character throughout that never asserts itself, but always lets you know its there.
The taste follows the nose. Plenty of sweet citrus and tropical notes lead the way, with that big, doughy character waiting patiently in the back. There's also a bit of pine on the back end to give you just enough bitterness to remind you that this is in fact an IPA.
The feel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Incredibly soft and smooth.
Overall, a fantastic IPA that far exceeded any expectations I may have had. Garrison City IPA's have been hit-or-miss for me, but this one is definitely a hit. Hope to see more like it in the future.

Sampled at the Seacoast Microbrew Festival in Dover, N.H. on July 9, 2016.
The pour is a slightly cloudy pale yellow with a moderate puffy white head.
A little toasted bread on the nose with some forward pine and citrus and maybe something a little herbal.
Smooth. medium body.
This holds a bit of a surprise. While I was anticipating a hopped flavor, I got more of a sourdough breadiness followed by the pine and citrus finish. Much sweeter than I expected. This is the kind of New England IPA I could have again.

This is as close to a perfect beer as I've had in a while, right up there with Tree House and Bissel IPAs in my opinion. This is my favorite beer from Garrison by far, and i've had quite a few of them (including anomalous and khaos). It's super soft, very juicy (but well balanced), and wonderfully sessionable at 6.2%. Everyone should try this beer.
