Looks are great, orangey and bright. Long lasting white foamy head. Smells like fruity fruity. Orange, mango, pineapple, and peach. Taste is bright and floral with a bitter after bite. Surprised at the low ABV as it feels and smells like an IPA. My wife got this and another Garrison City beer as a Valentines gift. She’s a great gal!

Bottom line - this brew packs quite a bit of interesting flavor into a tasty and crushable 4.8 ABV IPA. Nice hazy orange color. Strong nose - super appetizing passion fruit, pineapple and sweet honey that lingers long after pour. Taste has some mango, not too sweet pineapple, and something I can't quite put my finger on -- maybe blueberries? It finishes with a little funk and an ever so slight hop bitterness. Also has a bit of a dry character that is very nice.

I really like the fact that there are some different things going on from what is becoming a bit run-of the-mill NE-style, but brings these new flavors without overdoing it.

Recently discovered Garrison City and have had some real winners from them. Wish I lived closer, but this brewery has worked its way onto my New England beer circuit when I am up north.

From the 16 oz. can dated 04/24/2017. Sampled on May 13, 2017.

It pours a cloudy, murky looking almost opaque pale yellow with a long-lasting and soft white foamy head.

The aroma is alive with tropical fruit, pineapple, grapefruit, orange, and a lesser sweet sourdough breadiness. Maybe even an herbal quality.

The body is medium but soft on my tongue.

The taste is juicy, tropical. citrusy, with a milder bread sensation. The fruity bitterness lingers momentarily at the end. Delightful.

16 oz can dated 1/31/17

Pours the color of pineapple juice with a nice dense haziness. almost one-finger bone-white, dense head with nice thick lacing.

Aroma is rich, earthy and tropical with pineapple and guava and a tangy citrus scent behind it all.

Taste has the sweetness of the caramel malts blending with the hop aromas to make it feel more like grapefruit, apricot and orange tones mixed with a slight dankness. As a pale ale it has the expected low bitterness and is thin on the malt. After taste is flat and rings with earthy-pine orange - very pleasant.

Mouth feel is fantastic with this beer. Very clean and non-sticky due to the low malt - this allows the dank pine to continue through to the end crisply. Some may not like the low carbonation, so if you don't like "thin" beers you may want to stay away. Doesn't bother me at all.

Overall I'm pleasantly surprised here. This is the kind of beer I've been seeking out and will be looking to get this again. Soon hopefully.

16 oz. can dated 11/30/16

Pours cloudy hazy amber gold with a large creamy white foam head. Smells like caramelized bready malts, big mango, orange, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, guava, passionfruit, with dank earthy herbal grass and floral resinous pine. Tastes very hoppy with notes of mango, orange citrus, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, guava, passionfruit, caramelized bready malt, with dank earthy herbal grass and bitter floral resinous pine. Feels medium bodied, creamy with moderate carbonation. Overall a real nice hoppy pale ale.

Can from East Derry
Pours a mostly hazy deep golden with a thin wispy white head that slowly dissipates. Orangey citrus on the nose with some faint earthy bready on the back end. Flavor adds a bit of earthy grassy hop flavor and wow the orange really comes through. Faint but present sweet bready maltiness. Pretty tasty pale ale!
