16 oz can 11/7/17. Opened on 12/6/17 6.2% abv. 30 ibu Double dry hopped Belgo-ipa.
A white light hue within an otherwise yellow and gold color liquid. Slight haze. A high rising, all white, bubbly foam cap, snap-crackles and pops to a scattered rocky, thin layer of coverage.
The nose has a very bold, Belgian yeast earthiness with leafy-dry and tropical hops that is seriously intriguing. Sweet, tangy fruits, sour....wild yeast funk and fresh hops makes this a very well rounded aroma. Slight pepper, carrots and herbs hit in a subtle way.
Whoa, the earthy, grainy....VERY dry feel and flavor is pretty intense. The hops pop right out with earthy, leafy, whole-cone like complexity. You can sure taste and feel the double dry hopped effect. A very earthy and fruity overall flavor that includes, citric grapefruit and tropical fruits in the hops, sour and tangy tones from the yeast, light and crispy sweet malt with wheat and field grains that co-exist together perfectly. The most interesting and powerful aspects are the double dry hopped tones, bitter, earthy and leafy mega dose.
Very crispy and light at first with a zingy, dry and bitter to follow. A solid, malty medium bodied feel comes forth, ending very, very dry and earthy. Double dosed on dry hops!!
The only thing I love more than big, juicy, hazy ipa's right now, are Belgo/ipa styles. The two beautiful worlds combined is a righteous thing.
