16oz undated can poured into a .5l Becker shows a clear reddish brown body and briefly supports a 1/2in head of cream colored mixed bubbles that leaves random, stepped lacing.
Roasted malt aroma dominates the nose with a lurking sweetness.
Taste is strong roasted malts...strong roasted malt not quite matched by a caramel sweetness.
Mouthfeel is viscous, not sticky, medium, and clears the palate cleanly.
Overall an okay red with a bit too much emphasis on a bitter roast.

16 oz can out of the fridge for 10 minutes and poured into a pint glass. Smell is of toasty malts and some spice and earthy hops. Nice orange color with small head that sticks around as foamy film on top. Taste is smooth and with a nice toastiness and sweetness, but the bitterness at the end is a bit too much. The bitterness lingers and becomes a strange, unpleasant aftertaste. Feel is very smooth and clean with a bit of viscosity.
Overall a good beer, but they overdid the hops in my opinion

Dark amber to chestnut with 1.5 finger, fluffy, off white head. Light caramel malty nose. The flavor is hop forward, earthy, grapefruit, kind of grassy. Although it's not dark, I have a suspicion there could be some roast but it might be just earthy hops. Mouthfeel is medium, more or less balanced between bitterness and sweetness.

Poured from a tall can. Reddish in color with a tan head. Aroma is very malty and sweet. Malty and a touch of sweet in the flavor. Very smooth and very good.

16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden red color with a small, khaki-colored head. Sweet toffee, roasted malt and earthy notes. Very earthy with some roasted malt.
