Cherry Lambic

while this really isnt much of a lambic in the classic old world sense of the term, its a good beer, and its easily the best one i had at zephyr. its dark red, blood red almost, wheaty and hazy with a patchy off white head. the nose is all fruit, a get a little tartness in here too, but its hard to tell if its from the cherries or something bacterial. if there is lacto in this beer its really minimal. i get none if the funk that often accompanies an open fermented lambic, and the acidity is only minor here. the fruit flavor is authentic though, well dosed, and clean enough in the finish for what it is. medium body, decent carbonation levels, and a really nice cherry complexion on the whole. i was let down by this place overall, but this was their most compelling brew. take that for what its worth.
