one of the better beers here, which i guess till isnt saying much, but the raspberry flavor is nice, and while the body of the porter is missing, and it comes through as more of a brown ale, i still really like the flavor profile, especially compared to other beers here. the berry has a tartness to it, which is really pleasant, and the cocoa notes from the grain, along with the roast and the english yeast make it pretty complex and yummy. i wish it had more body, its really really thin, and therefore the flavors fall a little flat for me, not enough meat to cling to, but this one shows a lot of promise. drinkable and without some of the tannic off flavors of their other beer. i think i liked the cherry lambic a little more than this one, but its a step in the right direction for these guys. good fruitiness to it, matches the dark malt well.
