Modest tan head just covers the surface, broken by a multitude of larger bubbles, no real lacing. The color is a semicloudy brown to orange and yellow, scattered miniscule bubbles throughout. Malty nose with wafts of fig and raisin, cocoa, metallic earthiness, more herbaceousness as it warms. Light-bodied but in a way that's wiry and stiff. The carbonation has pinpoint churn. The malt still a strong presence yet here ably met by that mineral, quinine element. Less fruity than the nose and inching more towards peach, apricot, maybe golden raisin. Sort of challah breadiness through the finish. Not a style I drink much of but this one struck me as worth a second look after tasting at the brewery. [This is now called Peasantman Royal Bloodline and no clue if it's a new recipe or just a rebranding.)
