This is a fantastic offering from Lost Forty....easily the best beer I've ever had from them....
Wonderfully funky and minerally....bone dry on the finish....aromas of basement and cave and funk with some honey..
Wonderfully drinkable....it is dead dry on the finish but the fleeting flavors of honey and hay and wildflowers are remarkable...
Highly recommended!!!

A: Pours with a bit of haze. A golden/yellow color with a dense white head that rises to over two fingers. Retention and lacing for days.
S: A big aroma that goes from floral, to musty basement like, and grassy herbal tea. A bit of fruity apple esters, and this is great.
T: Like the nose, big flavors here. Though everything is so well balanced at the same time. Grassy, herbal hops that become lightly floral. Musty basement like "funk" and a wonderful fruity ester character. Apples, pears, with just enough tartness and a nice bitterness even. Again, this is great.
M/O: A medium body with effervescent carbonation. That is crisp, and beautifully dry. Which makes this all very moreish to drink. I can come back to this with ease.
A spot on example for an American version of a Saison. Plenty of yeast character to go around, with a decent amount of hops and everything is really well balanced. Well done.

Oh how I loved the head and lacing on this beer! Thick, white and foam with excellent curtain lacing. The smell of this beer is enticing as well, floral and herbal. The taste is fresh and refreshing, grassy, herbal and citrusy with crisp apple and pepper and allspice. This was a perfect beer to have on a warm spring night on the veranda.

It poured a vibrant straw haze topped with an ample two inch pillowy white head. The aroma was intoxicating. Hints of fresh cut grass and barnyard funk were complimented by floral notes and some citrus. There was also a minerality to it that I find hard to define. The flavor followed the aroma, especially when it came to the aforementioned minerality. By the end of the bottle the citrus was amplified and apple notes were also revealed. It finished rather dry on the palate and the effervescence was refreshing and enjoyable.
