the least impressive beer going here right now, real cerealy, and although they call it something like an ale lager hybrid, i get a lot more lager yeast in here, and its unflattering i think, fermented warm or something, its just no working for me. cheerios and sweet wort are what i smell and taste in addition to the yeast. it seems simple, like if you can make such a good pale ale, why is this hard to do? nothing particularly ambitious about the recipe i dont think, but for some reason there is this sharp yeasty doughy thing, like raw pizza dough, and its just not real nice. it could also stand some more carbonation, but i do like the fuller body on a lower alcohol beer, it gives it some seasonal versatility. i am a fan of this place in general, and have liked most of their beer so far, but this one really does nothing for me. it feels like their afterthought safe beer option for the customer new to craft, but this will push those fringe folks away more than it will turn them on i am afraid.
