a plenty passable (and drinkable) belgian pale. i am not in love with the yeast strain here, or the esters it gives off at this particular pitch rate and fermentation temperature, but the complexion of the beer as a whole is pleasant, and the hop profile is really cool. i also have to admit i am only recently coming into digging the belgian pale as a style, and have disliked beers like this in the past, but am becoming more and more a fan of these. i like the fruitiness without fruit, although this one is a little sharp and overdeveloped on the yeast front. the hops are bold and have some fruitiness as well. melon and even something a little more tropical, a pineapple hint in there, very cool and very bold. medium bodied and perhaps a touch under charged in terms of carbonation, but this will serve them well for summer, and there arent a ton of good belgian pales on the local scene right now, so i think this one fills the niche pretty well. good to see this place doing well and evolving.
