On tap.

The pour is pale, filtered, and sparkly.

The aroma is malty, almost shockingly so by today's standards. It... dare I say, it smells almost British, with node of biscuits and spicy hops.

Unfortunately, all the promise of the aroma falls apart in the sip. The flavor starts oddly musty, then pleasantly nutty, then kind of bright with US hops on the finish. But the finish... it's off. Like lindberger cheese sorta off.

I'm guessing something was wrong with the brew. Tastes like the yeast was under attenuated. The result is a bad-tasting beer. It's not undrinkable, but it's close.

On draft, shker pint

Clear golden color, foamy white head. Aroma and flavor are more traditional American hops- mild citrus, earthy pine, and mild kilned malt. Medium bitterness. Thinner bodied.

16 oz can into chalice. No date.
Look is nice cloudy golden orange hue. Smell is citrus fruit. Taste is sweet at begining and then drier and grapefruit at end. Feel is light to medium. Overall a nice AIPA Would drink again.

L: Hazy, translucent dark gold with a creamy white head. Long retention and sheets of lacing.

S: Pink grapefruit, orange zest, pink guava, toast, black tea.

T: Pink grapefruit and orange peel, with hints of honeydew melon, bubblegum, mango, and guava. Toast with a hint of caramel, black tea and slight black pepper on the back end, with a lingering moderate bitterness of grapefruit pith.

F: Medium, well carbonated, slick and oily with hops, sticky and resinous on the finish. Crisp, clean, and lightly dry.

O: A fantastic West Coast IPA from Common Roots. Possibly the best beer I've had from them thus far.

On tap in Glens Falls. Small soapy head that disappears quickly. Nose is hops, citrus, some pineapple/mango. In the taste I'm getting sweet malts, citrus, hops, pineapple, peach, and pine. Medium mouthfeel. This was a very well balanced IPA. I will definitely seek out this beer when I travel upstate. Would love to try it in cans.
