As a gin and tonic aficionado, I was impressed. This delivers what it sells

wild ale in a can, i love it! this one is bursting at the seems to be poured, like its conditioned in here just a little more than probably intended, but i like the excited and lively pour, it holds its short white head and has a little haze to it. its done with juniper and lime, and a whole lot of both to me, wow this is pungent and intense, almost more like a cocktail than a beer, or one of those new fangled popsicle premixed frozen things, a gin and tonic slush or something. the funk is there in the nose right from the start, a pretty mature profile to me, bretty along with the bacteria a little bit, but its the intense juniper that hits me right away, gin-like and natural, fragrant, and over the top. the lime is right there with it too, more pithy and zested than juicy, concentrated and bright. i get medicinal juniper as well as cut pine, i get gin and tonic, like the tonic part for sure too, and pretty good acidity, crazy how flavorful it is, but then how dry it is too, like it all hits at once and then its almost gone, a quick up and quick down for this. im impressed with the fermentation profile in here, even through all the juniper and lime it comes through as unique and nuanced, more than just a typical kettle sour twang, there is a lot going on with it and it makes me happy. my brother thought this was over flavored, more a cocktail than a beer, but i liked it because of both the yeast in here keeping it beery, and because of how natural the added ingredients are, even in their boldness. i also really like all the carbonation. overall this is incredibly unique beer, good enough that it inspired me to drive a few hours down to common roots to check out the brewery when i was back east, these guys are really making some cool beers. i loved this one!

Was not expecting to like this one but is really a great beer. A bit tart, some herbal/spiciness. Super drinkable and refreshing.
