Double IPA with Citra, Galaxy, and Mosaic hops. The oat-heavy grist lends a full body and pillow-soft mouthfeel. Tastes and aromas of candied pineapple, mango & kiwi.

Pours a chunky orange. Thick foam. Clean hop aroma. Juicy fruit body with a light bitter finish. Thick and syrupy. Good flavor. Better than expected.

A: Poured from the can into a Tree House tulip. Body is hazy dark golden. No real head.

S: Very nice nose of tropical fruit, mango, and candied oranges dusted with brown sugar.

T: Follows the nose, with oranges taking the lead here. Sweeter than expected. But good.

M: Pretty full body on this one; a little slick/syrupy.

O: Good to very good. Sweeter and thicker than most NE IPAs, but still quite good.

Canned 08/04/20. Poured from 16 oz can appears hazy but not disgustingly murky. A small head forms and plenty of lacing is left down the glass. Aroma starts off tropical and fruity but finishes weird on the tailend. Almost like detergent or some sort of cleaning agent. Flavor is a little better, but there is not much of it. I get citrus and tropical fruit but it quickly fades and leaves a small amount of fruity finish. Bitterness is not like Imperial IPAs of yesteryear but it is more than most IPAs that get released today. A little too sweet for me. The body has the oats to soften it up with a nice carbonation. Definitely the best part of this beer. Rather pedestrian IPA.

Canned on 08/04/20
Opaque orange amber with a tall white head that leaves trails of sugar lace and a persistent ring of foamy bubbles.
Aromas of Oranges, mango and turpentine or oil based primer. Weird sugar notes but definite solvent and mixed fruit duke it out in my nose with every sip.
The description on the can is spot on - massive oat fluff floods the tongue in a thick blanket of delicious fruity hop flavors of blood oranges, cantaloupe and papaya that wash away leaving a sharp bitter bite. Not a smoldering IPA bitterness that builds and lingers but a sharp and astringent punch and a semi sour tang that just hangs around like an uninvited guest.
I have confliction here - I can overlook ugly oat-milk cloudiness and strange aromas, flavor is 100% unique but using the same boring "new school" hops as everybody else who wants to be "cool" and make a "soft" IPA shows you just followed the leaders and dropped the malt ball along the way.
Ain't nothing supposed to be soft about an IPA - do some research but... my apologies, once again I digress.
Mouth feel is "fluffy" which is another word for soft. Flavors are bold and interesting while the body and mouthfeel leaves me hanging.
Soft can never be full and these murky soft-serv IPA's are just that - soft, air whipped versions of their denser more complex and satisfying "True" IPA fore bearers.
It's a great beer to have with fellow beer geeks to see what others think, and learn whether they really like beer, or just think it's cool to like beer.

Pours a matte, but bright opaque orange color. Two finger tight velvety head dissolves pretty quickly leaving just some sudsy bubbles on top of the beer.

Aroma has notes of orange, grapefruit, candied orange peel, a touch of green hops and a noticeable maltiness underlying the more forward fruity aromas. Has some distinct sweetness coming through on the nose as well.

Taste has notes of orange, grapefruit, lemon grass, dried leaves, with an certain fresh herbal character. Not nearly as sweet as I was fearing given the nose - and actually has a nice pleasant bitterness from the hops.

Feel is medium to full bodied. Very smooth mouthfeel with gentle carbonation.

Overall a nice DIPA.

Light, cloudy peach- gold color with a 4F head. Excellent head retention.
Aroma: tropical fruit, mango.
Very smooth MF due to Oat heavy grist.
Tropical fruit, mango, banana accompanied by very moderate bitterness.
A real treat with warming.

Another really nice IPA offering from Common Roots! I had just tried Space, and this one ranks right up beside it. The look was beautiful lightly hazy apricot-orange, with a nice half-inch of foam. Yummy aroma, nice juicy taste, and creamy mouthfeel - I do like what oats add in that respect! Went down easy, and I was sad I only bought one! This wasn't the most exciting brew in any particular way, but it was a darn tasty DIPA!

Had high hopes but I find that I no longer enjoy lingering bitterness. Nice but fleeting orange juice and red grapefruit up front.
