Single Hop IPA series featuring Citra. This dual purpose American hop is largely used for flavoring and aroma. It is known for its beautiful bouquet of ‘citrus’ notes including orange, grapefruit, lime and lychee.

No canning date. It’s a necessity, and doesn’t add much to the cost.

Nice look: light golden color with a 3F head.

Aroma is not strong. Earthy, light citrus.

Medium carbonation.

Taste is excellent with warming:well defined citrus.

Overall: a mixed bag. Better with warming. Excellent look, taste is strong but one flavor- grapefruit/citrus. The aroma is not strong, body could be heavier, A good beer, but the recipe needs tweaking. Canning date?

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color. It poured with a finger high white head that has good retention properties, as it consistently left a short head covering the surface after it died down.
S: Light to moderate aromas of gooseberries, limes, and lychee are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of limes and gooseberries. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I thought that this IPA was pretty good for a single hop IPA as both the smell and taste had a lot of complexities.

A: Poured from the can into my trusty Piraat tulip/snifter-type glass. Body is somewhat hazy light-yellow with a 1-finger white head on top, which settles quickly to leave behind decent lace on the glass.

S: Good Citra nose here - primarily lemons, lemongrass, grapefruit peel and limes.

T: Pretty much follows the nose, with dry, lemony hops dominant, over a lightly bready or grainy malt. A bit of lime noted on the finish. Nothing earth-shattering, but it's clean, dry and refreshing.

M: Call it lighter side of medium in heft. A little slick in the feel; could use a bit more carbonation "bite" here.

O: A very good showcase for the Citra hop - a light malt foundation doesn't get in the way of the hop, allowing this beer to be an easy drinker that focuses on the lemony, citrusy nature of the hop.
